My Travel Meetup is a travel club in Naperville that arranges several international trips each year. Groups that travel sometimes like to have a destination T-shirt to wear in a group photo and to keep as a souvenir of their trip.

T-shirt designs for two separate trips to Morocco include:

  1. Morocco 1: T-shirt design created in 2011 featuring camels, a crescent moon, stars, and the outline shape of a window/door frame (all elements one would associate with Morocco). Although a Blackletter font was used for the name of the country, it seemed to have the right feel to convey a sense of the Arab and Berber cultures. The design was silkscreened on an olive green shirt as a reference to the olive trade in Morocco.
  2. Morocco 2: A repeat Morocco trip was scheduled for August 2015. Key elements from the first design (camels, moon, stars, window frame) were included on this redesign, but the items were rearranged to create a distinction between the two shirts. This image was silkscreened on a toned down red shirt as a representation of the spice trade in Morocco. Note also that red and green are the colors of Morocco’s flag.
